Sometimes people ask me about our “style”.
I’m not so much interested in style.
To me style is connected to taste and believe is something temporary and therefore not so relevant.
I’m interested in the universal, timeless values.
But if I had to give our “house-style” a name I would call it sustainable minimalism.
What I like about minimalism is that you really create a special focus on space.
The special space is (or has to be) very well designed with few carefully picked materials and in touch with nature.
The special space inspires to carefully pick a few elevating (personal) objects like art and plants to enhance the space.
Because of the “emptiness” the emphasis is put on these few materials, objects, light, nature and eventually the user.
Combining and balancing all this results in a space which is inviting, connecting, inspiring and elevating.
